Production and study of mycorrhizal pecan trees for truffle and nut production

Project Description

With the aim of producing mycorrhizal pecan trees for our nurseries in NM, USA. Trials are being developed for large-scale commercial production of mycorrhizal pecan (Carya illinoinensis) for truffle production. We tested and obtained mycorrhizal plants with Tuber melanosporum, borchii and aestivum and monitored mycorrhization in the field.
